H2201 Escuela La Laguna, Rene Alonso Nolasco Elementary School
Honduras

Located in a remote mountain area, this existing single classroom school and washrooms were in disrepair. As well, the current enrolment resulted in overcrowding. SCW Canada constructed a new classroom and renovated the existing classroom and washrooms. The Skyline Rotary Club of Toronto funded the playground for this school. The dedication took place in May 2023.

H2202 Escuela El Carmen, Dr. Ramon Rosa Elementary School
Honduras

The existing school in this remote mountain village had two small derelict classrooms. SCW Canada demolished both classrooms and constructed one new classroom and washrooms with the site cleared for an additional future classroom when needed. The community will seek another site to build a kindergarten when needed. SCW Canada Directors Carl Derocher and Norm Grey-Noble attended the dedication ceremony in May 2023.
